1. What is Okapi? How did it come about? What does it mean? Okapi is a mammal native to Ituri rainforest located in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in central Africa. Although, it has striped markings reminiscent of Zebra, it is actually more closely related to a giraffe. The zebra like markings on an Okapi are nearly the reverse of those on Quagga with foreground being mostly plain and hindquarters being heavily striped.
2. How do I report a bug? The only platform for reporting bugs is Bugzilla. If one is not sure whether there is a bug and is trying to find if somebody else also had a similar problem, the forum may be used.
3. When to use Forums ? When you are in doubt, then and only then, ask it in Forum.
4. I am seeing weird routes in my Okapi router, which I did not install. Why? Have you configured ipsec on your router? The IPSec openswan implementation defines a set of subnets(root name servers), to which the communication is always in clear. This set of subnets is 198.41.0.4/32, 192.228.79.201/32, 192.33.4.12/32, 128.8.10.90/32, 192.203.230.10/32, 192.5.5.241/32, 192.112.36.4/32, 128.63.2.53/32, 192.36.148.17/32, 192.58.128.30/32, 193.0.14.129/32, 198.32.64.12/32, 202.12.27.33/32
5. IP support in access-list : When I give access-list 101 permit ip ..., the command is not accepted. Why? What is the work around? Use "all" in place of ip for any internet protocol. Because ip is not a sub protocol of ip. All the other protocols in the list are sub protocols of ip. 6. My network card is not detected by Okapi, What can I do? Your network card may not be supported in Okapi kernel yet. You can e-mail us the manufacturer name and model number of your network card, we will check if it is supported in Okapi kernel. If it is unsupported we will integrate it with Okapi and provide you with instruction to update your Okapi router. 7. I am not able to login as root. What should I do? To login as root, first login as router and then execute start-shell from enable node to launch a shell as user router. Afterwards one can execute "su -" to login as root. 8. I would like to enabl e root login without the need for "su -". What should I do? To enable login as root, first login as router and then execute start-shell from enable node to launch a shell as user router. Afterwards one can execute "su -" to login as root. From the root login, delete the file /etc/securetty.
